Privacy Policy
Effective Date: July 13, 2026
1. We don't want your data.
Refind was built to be a calm, private digital library. We do not collect, harvest, or sell your personal data. The app is designed to function entirely on your device and via your personal iCloud account.
2. Data Storage (iCloud)
All of your saved links, tags, and metadata are stored securely in your private Apple iCloud account via CloudKit. This data is synced across your devices using Apple's secure infrastructure. We have absolutely no access to the links you save or the tags you create.
3. Link Previews
When you save a URL, Refind securely fetches the webpage metadata (like the title, image, and description) directly from your device. We do not proxy this traffic through our servers. It happens securely between your iPhone and the target website.
4. Analytics and Tracking
We do not include any third-party tracking SDKs (like Facebook Pixel, Google Analytics, or similar ad trackers). If you opt-in to share crash analytics with Apple during iOS setup, we may see anonymized crash reports to help us fix bugs, but these cannot be tied to you.
5. Changes to this Policy
If we ever decide to change how we handle data (which we have no plans to do), we will update this policy and provide a clear notice within the App.
6. Contact
If you have any questions about this privacy policy, please contact us on Twitter/X or through the App Store support link.
